Term life insurance offers coverage for a specific period of time. If the insured should die during that time, the policy would provide payment for the face amount of coverage under the policy. Term insurance premiums are based on your age. The premium is good for the term of the policy. Hence, a 10-year term product would have the same premium for 10 years. At each renewal period, the premium will increase as you age. Term life insurance is good, low-cost protection for anyone whose financial resources are not at a level sufficient to purchase permanent life insurance. This type of insurance can be converted to permanent insurance without providing evidence of insurability.
