Traditional Student Scholarship To be eligible, the graduating high school senior* must be an Association member in good standing with a policy in force in his or her name for at least three years prior to the date of graduation. Family plan coverage or riders do not qualify. Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis. Selection criteria will include, but not be limited to:
Applicants for the $1,000 scholarship must have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants for the $500 scholarship must have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Scholarship applications are available in the winter of the student's senior year. Completed applications must be received by the Fraternal Department postmarked no later than March 15th of the graduate's senior year. Scholarship winners will be determined by an independent Scholarship Selection Committee and notified by April 30. No officer or member of Equitable Reserve Association will serve on this committee.
